New Batman Arkham Game in 2013?

After searching the web after another days work, we discovered this little gem on the ING website. They have the following information up :-

In an investor call, a member of Time Warner management has confirmed that a new game in the Batman: Arkham series will be released this year.

John K Martin is the company's CFO, and you can read the transcript of his comments on Yahoo! Finance. "And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise," he says. "So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012."

A third entry in the Arkham series has seemed inevitable for a while, but we've had no firm details on what it is or even who is developing it. Rocksteady had hinted that its next game will not be Batman-based, and Variety claimed that Warner's next Batman game will be a Silver Age prequel featuring members of the Justice League of America - but it also claimed that the game would not be out before 2014.

So what do you all think about this news? No Rocksteady, no Arkham? Or can another gaming company do justice to the Akhamverse? Big shoes to fill. Lets sit tight and see the character roster and game play before we make judgement.

New Arkham City figures at Toy Fair.

New images of Arkham Solomon Grundy and packaged pics of Nightwing, Deadshot and Talia found at Toy Fair. Excuss all the water marks on the pics but these are the only ones so far on the web. Mind you Toyark is an awesome website also to have a look at. Anyway Grundy looks amazing and I'm guessing he will be Titan Joker size which is 12" in height. Really hoping he comes with his big balls (no pun intended, really I swear!) as seen in the game. We have known about him for nearly 18 months so it is a relief to finally see him. Nightwing, Talia and Deadshot are all due out next month. Fingers crossed.

Another new figure from Play Arts Kai. POISON IVY! I'm thinking from the pictures it is from the Arkham Asylum/City games. Not many pictures have surfaced yet but when they do we will endeavour to get them to you all. This one seems very green though. When I say this I mean in brightness. I feel the images from the games are of a more lighter green on her skin. But again, these aren't final product images so lets hold our judgement until we see the real deal. Whilst there is no official announcement from Mattel, BigBadToyStore has put up pre-orders for the 3rd series of the DC Unlimited line.

No big surprises here – we’re going to be getting more of the New 52 designs with Aquaman and Darkseid (which we have been lucky enough to know about for some time) but the interesting news is the rumors of two figures from Injustice: Gods Among Us the video game in the form of Superman and the Joker.

The other figure we have heard about from Injustice is Batman from the Batman Unlimited line. To me this is some what strange to mix two different series into the one line. I wasn't big on the Arkham Asylum/city figures produced by Mattel and preferred the DC Collectibles versions a lot better.

In saying this I will be interested in seeing how these turn out as the New 52 figures were really good. Only time will tell but fingers crossed Mattel can produce the goods as Injustice will be an awesome game and should have the figures at the highest quality to follow.

Batman Arkham City Wii U Cinematic Trailer!

Batman is coming to the new Wii U. It will be titles Batman Arkham City Armoured Edition. Not much has been revealed yet of the game but rumor has it that there are no new levels from the GOTY versions released earlier this year.
