New Batman Arkham Game in 2013?

After searching the web after another days work, we discovered this little gem on the ING website. They have the following information up :-

In an investor call, a member of Time Warner management has confirmed that a new game in the Batman: Arkham series will be released this year.

John K Martin is the company's CFO, and you can read the transcript of his comments on Yahoo! Finance. "And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise," he says. "So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012."

A third entry in the Arkham series has seemed inevitable for a while, but we've had no firm details on what it is or even who is developing it. Rocksteady had hinted that its next game will not be Batman-based, and Variety claimed that Warner's next Batman game will be a Silver Age prequel featuring members of the Justice League of America - but it also claimed that the game would not be out before 2014.

So what do you all think about this news? No Rocksteady, no Arkham? Or can another gaming company do justice to the Akhamverse? Big shoes to fill. Lets sit tight and see the character roster and game play before we make judgement.

UK Toy Fair Superheroes Lego News

UK toy fair has just been run. Unfortunately again Lego was a little hesitant to give any clues about any of the up coming sets. Some lucky person from the website FBTB was lucky enough to see what they had hiding. I've tried to link up what we know the sets will be from BRICKSET to what was posted on FBTB

April - Iron Man 3 …

76006 named as Iron Man Extremis … includes figures Iron Man, War Machine and Aldrich Killian. Price Point is £19.99.

76007 named as Marvel 4 … includes figures Tony Stark, Pepper Potts (exclusive to that set), Mk42 Iron Man, The Mandarin and another, as yet un named, figure! Price Point is £34.99

76998 as yet unamed … includes an exclusive Iron Man and The Mandarin. Price point is £11.99.

May - Superman Man of Steel

76002 named as Superman Metropolis Showdaown … includes Superman and General Zod minifigures. Price point £11.99.

76003 named as Superman Battle Of Smallville … includes Superman, Colonel Hardy, General Zod, Faora and Lorvan ? Price Point £39.99

76009 named as Superman Black Zero Escape … includes an exclusive Lois Lane, Superman and General Zod. Price point £19.99.

Now some of these names don't match up well against the minifigs that are to come in the sets. In saying this we havent seen the movies or the sets so they may just be correct or working titles etc. Still its nice to know what minifigs we maybe seeing very soon in the distant future.

A new image has surfaced of the up and coming War Machine Lego Minifig. At the time of posting this image we don't know what set he will appear in but he is made similar to 2012's Iron Man with the large helmet that can be opened or closed to reveal Commander Rhodes inside.

This photos show us better views of Storm Shadow from GI Joe, the Prometheus suit, Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) from Sleep Hollow, ED209, Tony Stark and my personal fav Joker from the Arkham games. Another new figure from Play Arts Kai. POISON IVY! I'm thinking from the pictures it is from the Arkham Asylum/City games. Not many pictures have surfaced yet but when they do we will endeavour to get them to you all. This one seems very green though. When I say this I mean in brightness. I feel the images from the games are of a more lighter green on her skin. But again, these aren't final product images so lets hold our judgement until we see the real deal. Iron Man 3 12" Figures coming!

Iron Man 3 12" figures have been spotted in the USA at Target in Warrenville Il. Apparently they come with limited articulation much like the Amazing Spider-Man 12" figures. No price can be seen unfortunately on this happy snap so I we can't give you an indication of price. What it shows you is maybe that the Iron Patriot suit will be prominent in the new Iron Man 3 movie if its one of the first lot of toys to be released. Stay tuned for the flood of IM3 toys to start filtering out into shops.

Hot Toys Bane.

Some very cool pictures coming out of the new Hot Toys Bane figure coming later this year. Check out Hot Toys facebook page to see some more awesome pictures. I'm hopping the new Catwoman has a similar box to Bane to tie them all in. We know Batman and Joker do in the new DX versions. Looking at the pictures it looks like he may come with the eye rotating that normally comes with the DX figures. I will very happy if he does as I personally feel Bane needs it. Anyway, stay tuned for more cool pictures soon of new Hot Toys.

Hot Toys Last 2012 Surprise! SNAKE EYES.

Hot Toys has dropped a nice surprise on Facebook for us all to drool over leading into the new year. Pictures show a very cool Snake Eyes from the up coming GI Joe movie Retaliation. This figure looks amazing and as Fly is the Joe fan, I can't help think that the DC Den will get one of these to display. I think if you only ever buy one figure of a character why not make it a Hot Toys! Anyway enough of the toygasam, enjoy the pictures courtesy of Hot Toys' Facebook page.
